Two months old!

This is William after his first trip to church:

Here he is enjoying the beautiful day with his friend Charley:

Here's William with Dixie, who's his personal watchdog!

Baths are fun!

William is sleeping through Tummy Time!

Staring out the windows at the pretty trees at Cypress Inn. This was his first trip to a restaurant.

William and me, the day before his 2 month birthday.

I can't believe William is two months old! It seems like yesterday that Jon and I rolled into the hospital at 6:30 for our induction. Our sweet little angel has changed so much in the last two months. Thankfully he seems to have learned the difference between night and day now. Those few confused weeks were really rough, but at least now they are blurry memories in my mind. Several very kind moms told me that it would get better--they were right! For about two weeks now he's been sleeping through the night. He will only sleep in a swing now [thank you Ken and Stephanie for bringing it!]. We'll deal with transitioning him to his crib later.

We've been getting out a lot more lately. We go to Publix, Target, Belk, and church. Going places with him doesn't scare me as much as it used to, and I've found that he usually naps better when he's being hauled around in his car seat.
William went to his own baby shower a few weeks ago. Jessica and Marcia hosted a fabulous "meet the baby" shower for us at Marcia's house in Tuscaloosa. The food and cakes (yes, cakes!!) were wonderful, and it was so nice to see so many people from the UA Libraries. William had a great time, too.
This past weekend his Uncle Buddy, Aunt Betsy, and cousin Harrison visited William. We had a great time, and William even went out to eat for the first time!

It’s been a while since my last post because I/we have been busy! There are still days when I realize that I haven’t brushed my teeth or hair. Thankfully those are the days when I didn’t go anywhere.

Baby William has been busy, too! He is now 6 weeks old. He goes on walks in the neighborhood and walks at the park. He even went on his first picnic at the park by the river on Good Friday. He is also growing and has wonderful little fat rolls all over his body. For the past week almost he has also been sleeping for about 5-7 hours a time at night. It has been WONDERFUL. Until then he had confused his days and nights--not fun at all for anyone except him.

Here he is in the beautiful gown that his Great Aunt Kim made him. He's saying "hi" to everyone! It was taken on March 12.

William had a very busy day on Good Friday. He went on his first picnic at the park by the river, and he dyed Easter eggs! He slept through the picnic, but he was awake for the egg part. The next photos are all from Easter weekend.

William's first Easter basket. The Easter Bunny left him teethers, toys, books, and a pacifier clip. The Easter Bunny did not fold the clothes in the basket you see on the floor. That would have been a great Easter present!
